Privacy policy

Effective October 2026

This policy covers the games and websites of Abstraction Engine LLC, including TulaChess (the app and tulachess.com) and abstractionengine.com. The short version: we don't collect any information about you.

In our games

Our games have no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Your progress (which puzzles you have solved, your notes and settings) is saved only on your own device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and deleting the game deletes it.

When you use the Share button after solving a puzzle, the game hands a short text to your device's own share sheet, or copies it to your clipboard. Where it goes from there is up to you; nothing is sent to us.

Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play, under their own privacy policies. We never see your name, payment details or account. The stores send us only sales totals that don't identify anyone.

On our websites

Our websites set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising services. They are hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages and protect the sites from abuse. We don't use that information to identify or follow anyone.

When you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as needed for that. We never share them or add you to any mailing list.

Children

Our games are suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If we ever wanted to collect information, we would ask you first.
